"Volunteering for South Taylor EMS gives me the opportunity to assist in so many ways. First, I enjoy participating in the emergency medical service that serves where I live. Second, I love to support those volunteers in the organization who are here because they also want to serve. While I live on the far outside edge of the service area which precludes me from answering many calls, I find that I can help through providing educational opportunities to our members to help them keep up their certifications and help the service to continue to provide the highest quality healthcare possible."

ParamedicTV is powered by EMS1.com

Like many other volunteer organizations, STEMS has a serious need for additional members. Our membership is down substantially and this is really taking a toll on our staff that respond to calls. We pride ourselves in giving exceptional pre-hospital care and want this to continue into the future. If you are currently a state certified EMT/Paramedic or are interested in entering the EMS field, please contact us for more information. Benefits provided to our members include:

  • official STEMS gear
  • handheld radio
  • receive dispatch information directly to your cell phone via ccAlert text messaging
  • in-house continuing education
  • use emsCharts mobile electronic documentation system
  • new, identically stocked ambulances
  • waiver of state licensing fees (volunteers only)
  • scholarships available to active members
  • state certified CE training program
  • work with a very active medical director
